1 bag of dry yeast
100ml warm milk
100ml warm Abant water
1 teaspoon of salt
1 teaspoon of sugar
2 spoons of Taris Riviera olive oil
1 egg white
– meat mixture
500gr minced meat from Ramstore’s meat section
1 red onion, 1 white onion from Ramstore’s vegetables section
hot red peppers (quantity as desired) from Ramstore’s vegetables section
1 tomato from Ramstore’s vegetables section
½ cup tomato sauce TAT
½ chopped red pepper
salt, pepper, chilli peppers
1. Mix the yeast with sugar and little water and leave it to leaven. Mix the flour and salt and add the leavened yeast and knead dough with the other ingredients. The dough must be smooth and it must not be sticky. Leave it to leaven for about an hour.
Meat mixture: chop the onion and fry it in little oil, add the chopped pepper and steam it a bit, add the minced meat, tomato and spices. The mixture should be thick and it should not be steamed a lot because it is going to be baked later.
2. Separate the dough into 10 parts, mould them into oval shapes, fill them with the mixture and overlap the edges. Put them on a baking tray, cover them with egg yolk and bake at 180C for about 20-25 minutes. Smear them with melted butter when they’re done.
The pide can also be stuffed with cheese, spinach, or as desired.
